Need help with closed cab bed

Postby EJOWest » Sat Jun 08, 2013 7:05 am

My VC3 came with a flat bed and I found a VC5 bed to replace the flat bed. I need to convert the bed from a traverse seat to the fold down style for the the closed cab. I will be welding up the holes for the traverse seat arrangement and welding new brace plates where the folding seat hardware mount. I don't have access to a closed cab and was wondering if someone could help me with the location and dimensions of the brace plates on the inside bedside of a closed cab?
Thanks for your assistance!

The measurements from two 1/2 ton WC beds where the same and as follows:

All measurements from hole center.

Three groups of three holes: top hole 3/8D; second hole 4" down, 5/16D; third hole 2 1/2" down from second hole, 5/16D.

Measurements are of the exterior side of the drivers side bed side:

Left most group is 4 1/16" from closest edge of pocket stamping. Middle group is 31 1/2" from left most group and rearward group another 31 1/2" and 4 3/16 from rearward pocket stamping left most edge.

Top hole of each group is 16 1/4" above bottom edge of bed panel.

As a check bottom hole of middle group is about 2 7/16 from center of closest fender mount hole.

Measurements of plates (6 total) on inside of bed panel is as follows:
